Cornellà de Llobregat Carnival returns with parades, costume competition and the Final Judgment

The festivities will kick off on Fat Thursday, February 12, with the welcome of King Carnestoltes and will last until Ash Wednesday.

The city of Cornellà de Llobregat will celebrate its Carnival from February 12 to 18, 2026, featuring the welcome of King Carnestoltes, the grand parade, and the traditional Final Judgment.

The start of the Carnival will be on Fat Thursday (Dijous Gras), February 12, in the Plaça de l’Esglesia. There, King Carnestoltes will be welcomed with music and entertainment, culminating in the reading of the inaugural proclamation.
The central event will be the Rúa (Parade) of comparsas, which will take place on Saturday, February 14. The parade will start at 6:00 PM from the Plaça de Catalunya and will feature all the groups participating in the Competition. The awards ceremony will be held around 8:00 PM, again in the Plaça de Catalunya.
On Sunday, February 15, the children will be the main focus with the Children's Carnival, starting at 11:30 AM. The children's parade will go from Quatre Camins to the Plaça de l’Esglesia. Finally, on Ash Wednesday (Dimecres de Cendra), February 18, the Final Judgment will be held in the Plaça de Sant Ildefons, concluding the celebration.
