The Government of Catalonia has announced a total closure of the C-31 highway on the night of March 16 to install a new pedestrian walkway between Castelldefels and Gava.

The project, representing an investment of 600,000 euros, involves placing a 32-meter long concrete beam weighing 110 tons. This new infrastructure will replace the existing metal bridge, providing a wider and safer crossing for residents in the Baix Llobregat area.
Traffic diversions will be in place from midnight until 6:00 AM. Vehicles heading to Barcelona or Sitges will be rerouted through local streets and the B-210 road. Authorities expect the bridge to be fully functional before the Easter holidays.
