Mayor Lluïsa Moret presented the 37th edition of the Artichoke Month this Wednesday in Sant Boi de Llobregat, highlighting the vegetable as a symbol of local identity.

This year's festival sees a record 38 restaurants joining the celebration. Visitors can enjoy the CarxoTapa route for four euros or opt for more elaborate CarxoMenú offerings. The event showcases the high-quality produce from the Llobregat Delta Agricultural Park, reinforcing the city's position as a gastronomic hub in the Baix Llobregat region.

"It is not just a gastronomic matter. It is identity, local economy, and shared culture that makes us unique and puts us on the map."

The festivities will culminate on March 29th with the Carxofada Popular, a massive public barbecue held since 1999. Organizers expect to serve 1,800 menus featuring grilled artichokes and innovative recipes like 'carxomole'. The program also includes family workshops and live music at Plaça de la República throughout the month.
