The town of Sant Just Desvern has successfully collected 86,969 kg of used clothing through Solidança/Roba Amiga bins, achieving a recycling rate significantly higher than the regional average.

Local residents contributed an average of 4.13 kg of textiles per person, nearly doubling the Catalonia average of 2.35 kg. This environmental effort has prevented the emission of 718,363 kg of CO2, supporting the transition towards a circular economy model.
Beyond environmental impact, the Roba Amiga project focuses on social integration. By working with Social Services, the initiative provides stable employment and vocational training for individuals at risk of social exclusion. Currently, four people have been hired under insertion contracts, while six others have received specialized training.
The Sant Just Desvern City Council and Solidança remain committed to this dual-purpose management system, which combines waste reduction with the creation of professional opportunities for vulnerable groups.
