The automotive company Seat is exploring the possibility of manufacturing light military vehicles at its Martorell plant, collaborating with Indra and Ficosa to supply the Ministry of Defense.

The Volkswagen Group subsidiary aims to diversify its business to reach a 6% profitability target by 2030. The project focuses on logistic support and evacuation units based on existing car platforms. Markus Haupt, CEO of Seat S.A., recently met with Indra's CEO, José Vicente de los Mozos, to discuss this industrial opportunity.
The Martorell factory has a total capacity of 600.000 vehicles per year. As production shifts towards electric models like the Cupra Raval, Seat could allocate one of its three production lines to military logistics, while Ficosa would provide advanced electronic and vision systems.
