Rainfall recorded during the early morning has measured 83 liters per square meter in Molins de Rei, with higher amounts in the Collserola area. The most critical moment occurred around 3:30 AM when the Riera de Vallvidrera significantly increased its flow and overflowed in several locations.
In the La Rierada area, specifically on Carrer Sibèria, the river's overflow has affected access to some homes, sweeping away two bridges and three vehicles that were unoccupied at the time. Municipal services are currently assessing the damage and working to restore access.
The Can Castellví bridge also sustained damage to its protective structures and surrounding walls due to the water's force. The area has been cordoned off to ensure safety.
The area around the La Riera del Molí industrial estate has accumulated mud and vegetation debris from the water. Cleaning and debris removal tasks began early this morning.
Municipal services are inspecting and assessing isolated incidents reported in other parts of the municipality. The CECOPAL (Emergency Coordination Center) has convened, and a survey of the most affected areas has been conducted. The Guàrdia Urbana (Local Police), ADF (Forest Defense Association), Association of Civil Protection Volunteers, the municipal brigade, and technical services are collaborating on damage assessment, cleanup, and the restoration of normalcy.
The City Council continues to monitor the situation and urges extreme caution, advising against accessing areas where cleanup operations are ongoing or that still show signs of damage.
