The company Fragadis starts 2026 by consolidating its expansion in Catalonia with this opening in the municipality of Baix Penedès. With this inauguration, the company reaches 124 SPAR establishments in Catalonia and raises its total network in the Spanish territory to 236 supermarkets, including the Economy Cash brand. This growth strengthens the chain's presence along the Mediterranean arc.
The new establishment, which will open its doors on Thursday, January 22, is located on Josep Maria Caparrós Street, at the junction with Àngel Guimerà Avenue. The supermarket has a total area exceeding 1,150 m², of which 800 m² are dedicated to the sales floor. The store offers a wide assortment of leading brands and the private label SPAR.
This commitment to local talent allows for close customer service, based on knowledge of the environment and adapted to the needs demanded by the client.
In line with its commitment to local development, Fragadis has incorporated 14 new professionals into its staff, all from the population's area of influence. For customer convenience, the establishment provides 26 parking spaces, two equipped with charging points for electric vehicles.
The supermarket is integrated into the Eco Eficient store model promoted by Fragadis, focused on sustainability and energy saving. It incorporates low-consumption LED lighting, heat recovery systems, and a photovoltaic installation on the roof with a power of 50 kWp. Commercial hours will be Monday to Saturday, from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Sundays, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
