The El Vendrell City Council has presented the program for the 2026 Carnival, whose main parade will take place on Friday, February 13, featuring the participation of nearly 6,000 people.

The presentation of the 2026 Carnival program in El Vendrell confirmed the recovery of the slogan “A Capital Carnival” as the celebration's own brand. This year’s announcement poster is the work of local designer Jordi Pellicer.
The events will begin on Fat Thursday, February 12, at 5:30 PM in the Plaça Vella with the Children's Carnival and the reception of the King Carnestoltes. This event will include a hot chocolate party, a concert by the group Rikus, and the king's speech, delivered by the Grup de Teatre Inestable del Vendrell, which is expected to be full of surprises.
The grand Carnival Parade will be held on Friday, February 13, and will feature approximately 6,000 participants, distributed across 40 floats and 15 troupes. The start time is moved forward by half an hour, setting off at 7:30 PM from Carrer de les Flors. The route will continue along Avinguda Camp d'Esports and Avinguda Baix Penedès until reaching Carretera de Sant Vicenç, where the presentation will take place before the jury.

"We are working intensely so that the 6,000 participants and the public who follow them enjoy a brilliant and fully safe parade."

Mariona Figueras · Councilor for Festivities
The only change in the route compared to previous years is due to the construction works on the Riera de la Bisbal, forcing the parade to cross the Pont de França when descending from Carrer Roquetes. Additionally, a presenter will be reintroduced to energize the passing of the floats. Carnival activities will continue until February 16.
