The Escola Municipal de Música Pau Casals (EMMPAC) in El Vendrell launched its 40th-anniversary celebration on February 3, 2026, with a hot chocolate event for students, initiating a program that will run until June.

The commemoration of 40 years of EMMPAC's trajectory officially began on Tuesday, February 3, four decades after its first musical activity in 1986. The school remains committed to ensuring musical training, both cultural and professional, and preserving the artistic and pedagogical legacy of the master Pau Casals.
The festive program includes a Musical Week, which will take place from March 14 to 22, featuring activities that will also involve other entities in El Vendrell celebrating special anniversaries this 2026. The highlight of the celebration will be a cantata involving the students, scheduled for April 25 at the Teatre Àngel Guimerà.

"With the 40th anniversary, it is clear that EMMPAC is a reference point not only for El Vendrell but also for the region and the south of the country, and it will surely continue to grow."

Kenneth Martínez · Mayor of El Vendrell
Furthermore, on May 29, the school will bring the 'Sent la música' project to the streets, specifically at Quatre Fonts. The final culmination of the celebration will take place on June 19, coinciding with the last school day, with an anniversary party at Plaça del Tívoli. Mayor Kenneth Martínez congratulated the center for its dedication.
