The inauguration of the new cultural space was attended by the mayor, accompanied by Rosa Maria Calaf and Josep Maldonado.
The new facility occupies a three-story building that was previously the seat of the old Agricultural Chamber of Banyeres. This building, which operated as a cooperative winery, fell into disuse after its closure.
Each floor of the library is named after a person significant to the municipality: the ground floor is dedicated to Marta Mata, the first floor to Josep Cañas, and the second floor to Rosa Maria Calaf.
