Crime in El Vendrell drops by 26% over the last two years

The Local Security Board confirms a downward trend with a significant decrease in robberies.

The El Vendrell City Council certified this Tuesday a 20% reduction in crime over the last year, a figure that reaches 26.5% when compared to 2023 data.

The Local Security Board meeting analyzed crime trends in the capital of Baix Penedès. Official data shows the municipality recorded 2,939 criminal acts in 2025, a significant improvement from two years ago.

"The improvement in data shows that the strategy of maintaining close collaboration between all security forces is yielding good results."

Burglaries dropped by 14.8%, while robberies with violence decreased by 23.5%. Mayor Kenneth Martínez attributed these results to the expansion of the Local Police force.
