The Festivals Department of El Vendrell has presented the program for the 2026 Carnival, whose Grand Parade will take place on Friday, February 13, mobilizing around 6,000 participants.

The El Vendrell Carnival 2026 has officially adopted the motto "Un Carnaval de capital" (A Capital Carnival) as its own brand, as reflected in the announcement poster, which this year is the work of local designer Jordi Pellicer. The events will begin on Fat Thursday, February 12, with the Children's Carnival at Plaça Vella, including hot chocolate and the arrival of the Carnival King.
The speech by the Carnival King, delivered by the Grup de Teatre Inestable del Vendrell, is anticipated to be full of surprises for attendees. The Grand Carnival Parade (Rua) will be held on Friday, February 13, and will feature 6,000 participants, distributed across 40 floats and 15 troupes.

"Intensive work is being done so that the 6,000 participants and the audience following them enjoy a brilliant and fully safe parade."

Mariona Figueras · Councilor for Festivals
As a novelty, the start time of the Parade is moved forward by half an hour, setting off at 7:30 p.m. from Carrer de les Flors. The route includes Avinguda Camp d'Esports and Avinguda Baix Penedès. Furthermore, in front of the jury, a presenter will be incorporated to energize the passage of the participants.
The only change in the route compared to previous editions is due to the construction works on the Riera de la Bisbal, which will require the parade to cross the Pont de França after descending from Carrer Roquetes. The full program of activities will run until February 16.
