Four arrested in police crackdown on repeat offenders in Baix Penedès

Mossos d'Esquadra identify over 600 people and seize 10 kilograms of marijuana during a regional operation.

The Mossos d'Esquadra police force arrested four men in Baix Penedès during a specialized operation against repeat offenders conducted across eleven municipalities from January 15 to February 28.

The regional plan, supported by the National Police and Civil Guard, led to the identification of 623 individuals and 538 vehicles. Officers conducted 133 checkpoints and nearly 400 hours of patrolling. Reports indicate that approximately 100 of those identified had prior criminal records.
Key seizures included 10.5 kilograms of marijuana found in a vehicle in Santa Oliva and a stolen moped recovered in Albinyana. Additionally, police issued 184 traffic fines and 16 citations for the illegal possession of knives in public spaces.
The four detainees, aged between 21 and 42, were caught in Bellvei, l'Arboç, and la Bisbal del Penedès. Two of the suspects were specialized in thefts and had active arrest warrants after a recent incident in Llorenç del Penedès.
