The Institute of Penedès Studies (IEP) has launched the book L'associacionisme cultural al Penedès and announced its upcoming history seminar focused on the role of women in the region.

President Ramon Arnabat and coordinator Josep Anton Calvet introduced the work, which features twelve chapters covering social movements from the Middle Ages to the 21st century. The book is now available in local bookstores across the three Penedès counties.
The 8th Penedès History Seminar will take place in Calafell on October 23 and 24. Titled Women in the History of Penedès, the conference aims to address the historical invisibility of women and analyze their active participation in society since prehistory.
Researchers and students are invited to submit their proposals before June 30. The seminar will use an interdisciplinary approach to recover the female perspective in local social and political processes.
