The ImpulsDipta program, which has a total allocation of 162 million euros for 190 town councils and decentralized municipal entities in the region, foresees that Baix Penedès will receive 14.2 million euros during the 2024-2027 period. In the first two years, 4 million euros have already been allocated to local bodies for territorial development in areas such as culture, ecological transition, and health.
Among the 24 new investments carried out in Baix Penedès, totaling 2.4 million euros, highlights include the 822,327 euros provided for the courts and changing rooms of the Camí de Mar Institute in Calafell and the surrounding urbanization. Also included are 292,720 euros for installing turf at the Bellvei municipal football field and 200,000 euros for electrical improvements and lighting points in Cunit.
“"The singular and close treatment that the entity maintains and wishes to continue having with the Baix Penedès."
The provincial entity's president emphasized the investment effort, which includes 5.5 million euros in direct investments from the Provincial Council by the end of the term. These include 2.2 million euros scheduled for the new Torregassa road (Sant Jaume dels Domenys) and 3 million euros already invested in roads such as the improvement of the route from El Vendrell to Sant Vicenç de Calders.
During her meeting with journalists in El Vendrell, Noemí Llauradó also addressed the intention of the Mayor of Cunit, Jaume Casañas, to promote a consultation on the possible integration of the municipality into Garraf (Barcelona). The president expressed her “appreciation” for Cunit and denied that the municipality feels neglected by the provincial administration, citing the 115,000 euros planned for six lifeguard towers and 121,000 euros for beach maintenance. The ImpulsDipta Plan allocates one million euros to Cunit until 2027, which is 51.37% more than the ordinary aid received during the previous 2020-2023 period.
