The agreement reached with the Prosecutor's Office and the Audiencia Nacional (National Court) substitutes the initial request for three years and eight months in prison for a crime of damages with terrorist intent.
The motive for the attack was to protest the United States' support for Israel's actions in Gaza, as the assailant himself admitted to police officers.
The incident took place at the Màgic Badalona shopping center, where the individual broke the establishment's windows, causing widespread panic. He was immobilized by a civilian before inflicting further harm.
In addition to the prison sentence, the company was seeking compensation of 7,600 euros for the damage caused. The ten-year expulsion was the agreed-upon resolution.
