The Rodalies commuter rail service remains suspended this Thursday morning, according to Renfe, citing "operational causes," causing severe disruption for users in the Barcelona metropolitan area.

The service suspension occurs despite the Generalitat Government announcing a "progressive" resumption yesterday evening, though they warned that Thursday would be a "difficult day." At the stations, staff are informing users that there are no trains, and in some cases, access to the platforms has been closed.
The main train drivers' union, Semaf, has stressed that its workers will not resume their duties without receiving written guarantees from Adif regarding the safety measures adopted to protect the network and personnel.
In Badalona, the situation is particularly critical for commuters traveling daily to municipalities in the Maresme region. These users, heading to towns such as Arenys de Mar, Caldes d’Estrac, or Canet de Mar, have no alternative bus service available to cover their route.
