The main issue is the massive diversion of passengers to the interurban bus C10 (formerly Casas), which connects Badalona with Mataró. This service, which operates infrequently, has accumulated a large number of users diverted from the train.

The result is that, at key points like Badalona or Montgat, the bus arrives completely saturated, leaving users stranded. The situation worsens for residents of municipalities beyond Mataró, such as Arenys de Mar or Canet de Mar.

These towns in the Maresme region do not have any direct bus connection from Badalona, forcing travelers to take long and inefficient routes, often passing through Barcelona to find a connection.
