The average price of a room in a shared flat in Badalona now stands at 473 euros per month, representing a 1% increase compared to the data recorded a year ago. This figure, extracted from the report prepared by the real estate portal Fotocasa, confirms the upward trend in housing costs in the city.
These high prices make housing access difficult, especially among young people and low-income groups in the city.
Despite these figures, Badalona is slightly below the average for Catalonia as a whole, where the average price of a shared room climbed to 678 euros per month, according to December 2025 data. This Catalan figure is the highest recorded in the last ten years.
The city of Barcelona continues to lead the price ranking, with an average cost of 666 euros per room, a figure significantly higher than Badalona's, but which reflects the generalized pressure of the real estate market in the metropolitan area.
