The Barcelona City Government approved the eviction of two vulnerable settlements located around the Sant Andreu Barracks, following a decisive vote in the Presidency Commission.

The measure specifically targets the encampments located on Carrer de l’Andana de l’Estació and in Antoni Santiburcio Park, both situated within the Sant Andreu district.
According to available information, the settlement on Carrer de l’Andana de l’Estació currently houses three families, although it has been confirmed that no minors reside there.
The proposition to execute the eviction was presented by the People's Party (PP) during the Commission of Presidency, Security and Internal Regime session.
The initiative passed thanks to the support of the PSC, Junts, and VOX. Conversely, the groups Esquerra Republicana de Catalunya (ERC) and the Comuns expressed their rejection by voting against the measure.
