The Mossos d'Esquadra carried out the operation on February 4, resulting in the arrest of two men, aged 40 and 54, accused of crimes against public health and belonging to a criminal group. The police action successfully closed down a drug distribution point in the La Mina neighborhood of Sant Adrià de Besòs.
The detainees are believed to be part of an organized criminal group stably dedicated to the distribution of narcotic substances.
Prior surveillance tasks carried out by the officers confirmed that the property was used for distributing cocaine and heroin. The arrest of the 54-year-old man occurred when he tried to flee after being caught in the act of completing a drug sale.
Subsequently, officers entered the apartment where they arrested the second alleged perpetrator. During the search, various pre-dosed drug packages ready for sale were found, along with rock substance pending processing. In total, 12.12 grams of cocaine and 25.8 grams of heroin were seized.
The operation also led to the confiscation of 510 euros in cash, a precision scale, an airsoft shotgun, and a Taser gun. The investigation remains open, and the Mossos do not rule out further arrests related to this criminal network.
