The Blaugrana entity made the decision public through an official statement. This date, March 15, is the earliest allowed by the club's statutes to hold the elections, which will determine the president until 2031.
“"They will be on March 15."
The current president, Joan Laporta, has confirmed he will run to revalidate his mandate. The election day could coincide with the league match the team will play at the new Camp Nou against Sevilla FC.
In addition to Laporta, other figures have already expressed their intention to run in the elections. These include Víctor Font, who was the second most voted candidate in the 2021 elections, as well as Xavier Vilajoana and Marc Ciria. Joan Camprubí, the visible head of Som un Clam, has not yet confirmed his pre-candidacy.
To become official candidates, pre-candidates must secure a minimum of 2,321 valid member signatures. This figure is not less than half of the 4,641 delegates from the club's last assembly.
