These four travelers from Lleida are part of the group of 258 people who started the experience aboard the ship, which will cover 46 destinations in 33 countries until May 5. Catalonia leads the Spanish participation in the MSC World Cruise 2026, with 85 Catalan passengers.
In addition to the quartet from Lleida, 4 travelers from Tarragona, 6 from Girona, and 71 from Barcelona embarked. The cruise, which circles the globe once a year, began by sailing the Mediterranean before crossing the Atlantic towards Madeira and the Caribbean.
The voyage includes key stops in the Caribbean, the crossing of the Panama Canal, and extensive routes through Oceania and Asia, covering five continents.
The initial itinerary includes stops in Barbados, Grenada, Bonaire, and Curaçao, before heading to Colombia and traversing the Panama Canal. It will then continue through Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Guatemala, and Mexico, with calls in San Diego and San Francisco.
The route will proceed through Hawaii, Tahiti, Samoa, and Fiji, before reaching New Zealand and Australia. The Asian leg includes Manila, Okinawa, Tokyo, Busan, Shanghai, and Hong Kong, and then passes through Vietnam, Singapore, and Malaysia en route to the Indian Ocean.
Finally, the cruise will call at the Seychelles, Mauritius, and Reunion Island, and then visit South Africa and Namibia, before returning to the Mediterranean via Cape Verde.
