A genealogical search at the end of 2025 led to the discovery of a kinship between a Barcelona resident and the renowned surgeon Josep Visa Miracle, an illustrious descendant of Golmés.

The connection began when the author received a message from Tània, a resident in the Catalan capital, who was researching her ancestors. Tània identified her maternal grandfather, Josep Visa Calvís, originally from Golmés, as the first cousin of the author's grandmother, Pepeta Casanys Visa (1904-1991), known in her youth as one of the 'cuquines'.
This relationship revealed that the author's mother had a second cousin who was Dr. Josep Visa Miracle. Dr. Visa Miracle was a prestigious surgeon, specializing in portal hypertension and liver transplantation, and served as Head of the General and Digestive Surgery Service at Hospital Clínic in Barcelona and a tenured professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the Universitat de Barcelona.

"Josep Visa was effective and affectionate with his patients. He was a good doctor and a kind doctor. Fully situated in his time with firm convictions on social and political issues."

Dr. Visa Miracle passed away ten years ago in September, but his legacy remains. His father, Josep Visa Calvís, had worked as a cabinetmaker with a workshop on Villarroel street in Barcelona. The finding, stemming from the author's dedication to compiling the family tree, allowed the family to discover a relative highly esteemed and recognized by his colleagues and patients.
