The meeting, organized by GetYourGuide, brought together experts to discuss the challenges faced by spaces with high tourist influx. Park Güell Director, Carme Lanuza, presented the park's management model, which aims to balance tourist interest with citizen use.
Lanuza emphasized that the park's success is measured by the coexistence of uses, not just visitor numbers. She also highlighted BSM's investments in preserving the site, declared a UNESCO World Heritage site, and initiatives to connect it with the city, such as the Passi Verd for Barcelona residents and the Carnet de Veïnatge.
The event also included participation from José Antonio Donaire (Commissioner for Sustainable Tourism Management of the Barcelona City Council), Miguel Sanz (General Director of Turespaña), Ana Jáuregui (Managing Director of the Alcázar of Seville), and Ignacio Sabaté (Director of Volcano Teide), among others.
