The new service aims for more efficient and sustainable waste management, with a gradual implementation that will initially maintain the current system and incorporate improvements to adapt to citizen and commercial needs.
In Sant Llorenç de Morunys and the urban area of Vilamontells (Guixers), door-to-door collection is being introduced, with an initial point on the Solsona road. The bi-weekly collection frequency for the Vilamontells scattered area will be optimized, with each fraction collected on alternate days.
For large producers in La Coma i la Pedra, a specific door-to-door collection is planned for the coming months. This municipality will also implement organic waste (FORM) collection using street containers. The remaining fractions will follow the regional rural system.
The bulky waste collection service in Sant Llorenç de Morunys and La Coma i la Pedra will be on-demand, with monthly frequency. The municipal waste management center will also be managed by FCC Medio Ambiente, SAU, with a new opening schedule.
The Town Council thanks citizens for their cooperation during the transition and asks them to review the new schedules and stay informed through municipal communications to make good use of the services.
