The Dani Montesinos Sports Journalism Award has opened its 14th call for entries for students, allowing submissions focused on grassroots football until May 6, 2026.

The competition offers the winner a paid internship at Canal GOL or in the newsroom of Globomedia in Barcelona. Furthermore, the prize includes joining the press team of the prestigious international grassroots football tournament, MICFootball, which will take place between March 31 and April 5 in the Girona regions.
Submissions must focus on grassroots football or territorial categories in any of their aspects. Various formats are accepted, including written press, digital media, radio, television, or photography, and can be written in Catalan or Spanish.

"It is an opportunity for students to expand their knowledge and continue their training in prestigious media outlets. It also consolidates interest in grassroots football and promotes the values of the sport."
