Furthermore, the prize includes joining the press team of the prestigious international grassroots football tournament, MICFootball, which will take place between March 31 and April 5 in the Girona regions.
Submissions must focus on grassroots football or territorial categories in any of their aspects. Various formats are accepted, including written press, digital media, radio, television, or photography, and can be written in Catalan or Spanish.

This award was established in 2012 to commemorate the journalist Dani Montesinos, who died in a traffic accident. Since 2014, the main goal of the award has been to boost the careers of future sports journalism professionals.
