Just before the end of the year, the city of Viladecans brings theater back to the public space with 'Al Carrer Nadal', a proposal that the council defines as “unique in Catalonia” during the holidays. This event is considered the little brother of the classic international summer festival and reinforces the municipality's commitment to street arts, accessible to everyone.
The festival will take place between December 28 and 30, offering a total of 11 different shows, totaling 16 performances, in addition to four artistic installations. Most of the proposals are local creations, although two international companies from France and Belgium are also participating.
Among the featured shows is 'Bye Bye, Confetti', by La Baldufa Teatre, winner of the 2020 National Performing Arts Award for Children and Youth, which combines humor and criticism about overcoming loss. Also scheduled are 'Pulse', by Cie. Kai, an energetic acrobatic show, and 'Gran Sonata', by Le Puant, where the audience interacts with a baroque composer.
The program is completed with visual and itinerant proposals such as 'Los nómadas', by Actua Produccions, and shows for the youngest audience like 'Lo Carrofil', by Cie. Efímer, and the 'Carpa Món Titella', by Galiot Teatre. The five key locations for the festival are the Plaça de la Constitució, Plaça de la Vila, Plaça de les Palmeres, Parc del Torrent Ballester, and Rambla Modolell, where stable installations will be set up.
