Catalan music bids farewell to four of its most cherished bands during 2026, with farewell tours that promise to be historic.

2026 is shaping up to be a significant year for Catalan music, marked by the temporary or definitive farewells of four highly popular groups. These goodbyes are expected to be emotional and will leave an unforgettable mark on the country's musical landscape.
La Fúmiga announced their definitive retirement from the stage last October. The Valencian group will conclude their career with just two unique performances scheduled for the autumn of this year: October 17th at the Sant Jordi Club in Barcelona and October 24th at the Roig Arena in València.
Meanwhile, Oques Grasses caused a stir by announcing their split. After fourteen years of success, the band will offer four memorable nights at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys in Barcelona, on October 5th, 7th, 9th, and 10th. Tickets for these shows, which are expected to host 220,000 people, sold out rapidly.
Pepet i Marieta will bring their 22-year career to a close with the celebratory tour 'L’última i mo n’anem'. The project led by Josep Bordes, which boasts over 700 concerts, will bid farewell joyfully and release new tracks before their final concert in Ulldecona, the town where the band originated.
Finally, La Gossa Sorda is making a completely exceptional return and farewell with the 'A Tornallom' tour. After selling out 50,000 tickets, the Valencian band has confirmed only three festival appearances in Catalonia this summer: Cabró Rock in Vic (June 12th and 13th), Festiuet in Salou, and the Empordà Music Festival.
These farewells represent the end of an era for four bands that have shaped Catalan music, ensuring their goodbyes are unforgettable. We wish all the members the best in their future endeavors.
