Portuguese artist Virgínia Brito is making a name for herself at the Edifici Freixas creative hub in L'Hospitalet, focusing her figurative paintings on human micro-expressions and emotional depth.

Originally from Braga, Brito holds a background in music and biomedical engineering. She moved to Barcelona to study at the Academy of Art, where she discovered a new medium to explore life and the human condition through a more conceptual and plastic approach.

"I found a different way to explore the human being, in a more plastic, free, and conceptual way."
