Several neighborhoods in Badalona, including Nova Lloreda Sud and Bufalà, have been experiencing persistent public lighting failures for weeks, raising significant safety concerns among residents.

Problems with public lighting in various parts of the city of Badalona have been ongoing for weeks, with failures that, according to affected residents, can take up to a full week to be resolved by the City Council, even after notifying the Guàrdia Urbana (Local Police).
These incidents have recently multiplied in areas such as several streets in Nova Lloreda Sud and a stretch of Martí Pujol avenue, in the Bufalà neighborhood. In addition to the failures, the situation is aggravated by the lack of replacement of numerous burnt-out bulbs.

"The deterioration of public lighting directly affects the safety, mobility, and quality of life of the residents."

The root of the problem, which follows weeks of continuous breakdowns, highlights the aging state of part of Badalona’s public lighting network. In many streets, the lighting is old and operates with deficient bulbs, significantly reducing nocturnal visibility.
