The contract, valid until 2032, is expected to be awarded before the end of this year. The tender published by the council amounts to approximately 27 million euros.
The contract award includes not only the installation of the new devices but also the setup of a control room and a crisis room within the Guàrdia Urbana premises. Furthermore, the system's maintenance will be covered for five years.
Out of a total of 615 planned cameras, 488 will be for citizen security, while the remaining 127 will be used for traffic control on public roads.
