Barcelona City Council has launched a new water play area in the Sant Antoni neighborhood, located between Entença and Rocafort streets, to provide a climate refuge during the summer.

This facility, operational until September, is open from 10:00 to 20:00. The space has been designed under universal accessibility parameters, ensuring that people with functional diversity can use it in an inclusive environment.
The hydraulic system incorporates push-button mechanisms to optimize water consumption. The play surfaces feature soft textures and are free of raised elements to ensure user safety, with footwear recommended for children over five years old.
The new area is part of the Heat Plan strategy, linked to the municipal Climate Plan. With this opening, the city doubles the number of available water spaces compared to the previous year, consolidating a more resilient urban model against extreme temperatures.
