A massive popular culture parade has paraded through the streets of Barcelona this Sunday to celebrate the inauguration of the Sagrada Familia's Jesus Tower, an event featuring the city's 'colles' of giants and big-heads.

The celebration took place just days after the visit of Pope León XIV, who presided over the official inauguration and blessing ceremony of the new tower. The event coincided with the centenary of the death of architect Antoni Gaudí, a key figure of the basilica.
The festive route began at Casa Batlló and concluded at the Sagrada Familia, attracting numerous tourists who filled the areas surrounding the basilica. The city's 'colles' of giants and big-heads were the protagonists of the day.
As a culmination of the celebration, the Macers de Barcelona big-heads and the Gaudí giant, from Riudoms, made an offering in the crypt where the architect's remains rest, as an emotional tribute to his legacy.
