The Barcelona City Council has spent a total of 115,590 euros plus VAT on its new graphic identity, according to data released by Jaume Collboni's administration.

The figures were provided to the PP municipal group. The investment covers the design of the visual system (36,750 euros), a custom typography (29,500 euros), and institutional signature rights (30,000 euros).
The new branding, launched in October 2023, removes the word Ajuntament (City Council) to focus solely on the Barcelona name and the city crest. Officials state this aims to strengthen the link between the institution and the city.

"The cost of the entire adaptation process for this new brand across materials and districts will end up being much higher."

Daniel Sirera · PP Municipal Group Leader
Opposition leader Daniel Sirera criticized the new design for its resemblance to the PSC party colors. He also noted that municipal advertising investment rose to 17 million euros in 2024.
