Barcelona City Council has released the 2026 Restoration Guide, a compilation highlighting 55 gastronomic establishments noted for their quality, service, and connection to the city's neighborhoods.

The publication gathers restaurants that were awarded, named finalists, or received honorable mentions in the sixth edition of the 2025 Barcelona Restoration Awards. According to the council, the document aims to provide citizens with a tool to discover the culinary diversity of the Catalan capital.
The jury selected the establishments based on criteria such as their local roots, excellence in their gastronomic offerings, and quality of service. Among those recognized are venues like La Esquinica in Nou Barris, awarded for its integration into the neighborhood, and Bellafila in Ciutat Vella, noted for its seasonal cuisine.
Other establishments included in the guide are the Xavier Pellicer restaurant in the Eixample, for its commitment to sustainability and organic products; Flash Flash in Sarrià-Sant Gervasi, for its table service; and El Racó del Mercat in the Sant Martí district, awarded in the markets category.

"The city has more than 10,000 bars and restaurants."

Nadia Quevedo · Commissioner for Economic Promotion, Commerce, Markets, Restoration and Fashion Plan
In addition to the winners, the guide includes other finalists such as BaLó, Nectarí, Los Tortillez, and Teòric Taverna Gastronòmica. The document, now available in digital format, details the characteristics and signature dishes of each establishment.
