The Barcelona Marathon 2026 has achieved a historic milestone by reaching 32,000 registered participants for the upcoming race scheduled for March 15th.

This figure surpasses the previous record of 27,000 runners set in 2025. The race will start at 8:30 AM from Passeig de Gràcia and finish at Arc de Triomf, following the same fast-paced route where Tesfaye Deriba and Sharon Chelimo broke course records last year.
Official registrations closed on January 7th, but a secure Marketplace is available on the official website for those looking to buy or sell entries. Bib collection will take place on March 13th and 14th at Fira de Barcelona's Pavilion 7.
The event will feature 35 pacemakers to assist athletes in reaching their time goals. Organizers recommend using the metro due to significant traffic disruptions across Barcelona during the competition.
