The Mayor of Barcelona, Jaume Collboni, will attend the commemoration event for the 50th anniversary of the Barcelona Assembly of CCOO. The event will take place on Thursday, July 9th, at 11:30 AM at the Cotxeres de Sants Civic Center, located at Carrer de Sants, 79.
The mayor will be accompanied by the Deputy Mayor for Social Rights, Economic Promotion and Labor, Feminisms and Democratic Memory, Raquel Gil. Prior to the main event, Deputy Mayor Gil will participate in a visit to the church of Sant Medir, a historic site for the union.
This church was the scene of the union's last clandestine meeting in 1976. Also present at the event will be the General Secretary of CCOO, Unai Sordo, and the General Secretary of CCOO de Catalunya, Belén López, along with other institutional representatives.
