Barcelona will install giant screens in the Glòries square and at the Arc de Triomf to allow citizens to follow Pope León XIV's visit to the city live on June 9, 10, and 11.

The aim is to offer citizens the opportunity to follow parts of the papal agenda, especially for those who cannot access the various scheduled events. Anticipation is high, as the 40,000 tickets for the mass event the pontiff will preside over in Montjuïc sold out in just 20 minutes.
The visit will begin on Tuesday, June 9, with the recitation of the Midday Prayer at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross and Saint Eulalia and a prayer vigil at the Lluís Companys Olympic Stadium. On Wednesday the 10th, the Pope will visit the Brians 1 penitentiary center in Sant Esteve Sesrovires, and later the Abbey of Montserrat to preside over the Holy Rosary. In the afternoon, there will be a meeting with charity organizations at the church of Sant Agustí, before the procession through the Eixample district in the popemobile, which will conclude at the Sagrada Família for the celebration of the Eucharist and the blessing of the Tower of Jesus Christ, coinciding with the centenary of the death of Antoni Gaudí.
A large security operation has been organized for the visit, involving 5,600 officers from the Mossos d'Esquadra and 500 personnel from the Guàrdia Urbana de Barcelona. This operation will manage the numerous traffic closures and diversions that will affect mobility in the city.
