The Barcelona City Council has announced the installation of a new security mechanism at the Espanya Industrial Park revolving gate in Hostafrancs to prevent illegal entry at night.

The measure follows long-standing complaints from neighbors on Muntadas street. Residents claim the current gate fails to block entry when the park is closed, leading to groups gathering with loud music and sound systems until the early morning hours.

"The park gates are closed, but because the door rotates, people get in. They stay for hours with music equipment until dawn."

The councilor for Sants-Montjuïc, Raquel Gil, confirmed that a technical solution has been found in collaboration with Parcs i Jardins. A new device will lock the gate from the outside at night while still allowing CEM l'Espanya Industrial sports center users to exit safely.
