Cadí La Seu narrowly misses upset against Avenida, remains tied with Joventut Badalona

Cadí La Seu lost by the minimum margin (69-70) against Perfumerías Avenida, remaining eleventh in the Women's League, tied with Joventut Badalona and IDK Euskotren at eight wins.

The Cadí La Seu team from Urgell was close to causing an upset in the latest round of the Women's Basketball League, but finally fell by a narrow 69-70 against Perfumerías Avenida, one of the leading teams. This result keeps the squad led by Isaac Fernández in the eleventh position in the standings.
With a record of 8 wins and 12 losses, Cadí La Seu is currently tied with Joventut Badalona (9th) and IDK Euskotren (10th). These two direct rivals also lost their respective matches, against Movistar Estudiantes (69-86) and Hozono Global Jairis (53-72), which keeps the fight for the mid-table positions very tight.
The game played by Cadí La Seu showed great resilience. After an even first quarter (15-18), the team took the initiative in the second period with a 22-13 partial, reaching halftime with a 37-31 lead. The Urgell players managed to maintain and even increase the distance until the end of the third quarter (56-49).
However, the Salamanca team reacted in the final minutes, taking advantage of the fact that Perfumerías Avenida is not going through its best moment, to turn the score around in a thrilling finish. The top local scorers were Shaylee Gonzales with 12 points and 5 rebounds, followed by Nahan Niare and Seehia Ridard, with 10 points each.
