Catalan Government spokesperson Sílvia Paneque urged Junts per Catalunya to support the imminent regional financing agreement, calling it a "historic opportunity," while announcing the launch of the first land tender to build 1,940 public homes.

The return to political activity in 2026 is marked by the impending agreement between the Spanish Government of Pedro Sánchez and Esquerra Republicana regarding the reform of the financing model, which has been expired for 12 years. The Salvador Illa administration expects "vision" from Catalan political forces, especially Junts.
The spokesperson described the words of neoconvergent Míriam Nogueras as "bold," after Nogueras demanded an economic concert and labeled the singular financing proposal a "fraud." This proposal, according to Isaac Albert, would add about 5 billion euros annually to Catalan public coffers.

"We do not want privileges; there must be a quota of solidarity, but also a criterion that adjusts what Catalonia generates and what it receives. We are in the final days and hours."

Regarding housing, the Executive Council announced the first land tender for the construction of 1,940 affordable rental homes. This action is part of the "colossal objective" of building 50,000 properties for the public housing stock, seeking collaboration from municipalities and the private sector.
The plots going up for tender this Friday are located in various areas, including the Barcelona metropolitan area, Camp de Tarragona, and Girona counties. The tender requires companies to maintain and conserve the blocks for 75 years. Furthermore, the Government lifted the mandatory use of masks in health centers and residences.
