The sports director of the Catalan Sailing Federation, Jordi Blanch, has praised the current state of the sport in Catalonia, supported by 5,000 licenses and elite facilities in Barcelona.

Blanch, who has led the federation's sports strategy for 13 years, emphasizes the impact of the Barcelona International Sailing Center (BISC) at the Port del Fòrum. This facility has become a global benchmark for high-performance training.

"Before, sailing was more amateur, and now it has become professionalized. We hope to have Catalan representatives in the next Olympic Games."
