The CCOO union has announced the cancellation of the planned strike at Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC) in Barcelona during the Mobile World Congress this coming March.

The union has decided to withdraw the 24-hour stoppage scheduled for March 2nd, which coincides with the start of the major tech event. Partial strikes planned for March 3rd and 4th have also been called off.
However, the minority union SEMAF is still moving forward with its protest actions. Earlier this week, SEMAF members already carried out strikes with a reported participation rate of 16.43%.
The FGC rail service is a vital transport link for the Mobile World Congress, as it provides direct access to the Fira convention center, making it a key infrastructure for the thousands of visitors attending the global event.
