The Deputy Mayor, Raquel Gil, will participate on Friday, July 17th, in the commemoration event for the 90th anniversary of the failed coup against the Republic and the beginning of the Civil War in Barcelona.

The event will take place at the Centre Cultural la Model, located at Entença street, 155, at 10:00 AM. This day will also serve as the closing event for the exhibition And after Franco, what? (1965-1975), which has been open to the public for seven months.
The session for historical reflection and dissemination will feature four renowned specialists in the study of the conflict, Francoism, and democratic memory: Queralt Solé, Joan Villarroya, Mary Nash, and Julián Casanova. The aim is to offer a diverse perspective on the events of 1936, their repercussions, and their influence on contemporary society.
The exhibition And after Franco, what? (1965-1975), curated by Andreu Mayayo and José Manuel Rua, has been jointly organized by the Barcelona City Council and the Ministry of Territorial Policy and Democratic Memory.
