After a powerful career in media such as television, including hosting the FAQS program on TV3 during the post-independence process and pandemic period, Puig is now dedicated to corporate communication. The journalist, who is 53 years old, humorously commented on the irony of her new location: "It's tremendous that a hypochondriac like me is working at the Hospital de Sant Pau, because if something has to catch me, let it catch me here."
“"If journalists don't exist, the world goes to hell."
Her current project, approved by the hospital management, is the Sant Pau Talks: a two-hour, bimonthly debate held in the center's auditorium, which always sells out. This space addresses crucial health and social issues, such as stroke, cancer, addictions, Alzheimer's, eating disorders, and suicide.
Puig emphasizes the need to speak openly about these topics, citing the example of suicide, which is the leading cause of death among young people. In addition to her work at the hospital, she also teaches communication classes, where she is surprised that the main goal of some students is only to secure a permanent position, given that she has "transited many years in permanent uncertainty."
