Fuel prices in Barcelona and across Catalonia have reached new peaks this March 2026, with conventional diesel surpassing the two-euro mark at several service stations.

The conflict in the Middle East has triggered a sudden price hike, resulting in a 30% increase for diesel. According to the Ministry for the Ecological Transition, average prices have climbed to 1.84 euros for diesel and 1.73 euros for gasoline.
In Barcelona, the situation is particularly severe at locations like Plaça d'Eivissa, where diesel has reached 2.18 euros per liter. Other municipalities such as Castellbisbal and Sant Joan les Fonts have also seen prices break the two-euro barrier.

"Los costes son inasumibles y nos abocan a otro año de pérdidas considerables."
