Eleven injured in Barcelona due to severe windstorm, one in critical condition

The Mayor of Barcelona, Jaume Collboni, reported that the windstorm this February 12 has left eleven people injured in the city, including one worker in critical condition.

The provisional balance of personal injuries in Barcelona includes one person in critical condition following an accident in the Bon Pastor industrial estate and one seriously injured in the Prosperitat neighborhood. Both were taken to Vall d'Hebron Hospital.

"We will keep these figures as provisional until the medical emergency services provide their final assessment."

The Guàrdia Urbana responded to 700 incidents, while Barcelona Firefighters managed 900. Although mobility restrictions were lifted in the afternoon, schools and sports facilities will undergo safety checks this Friday.
