The agricultural sector mobilizations started early in the morning, with farmers from Girona being the earliest, gathering about twenty tractors around 7 a.m. These vehicles, accompanied by cars, took secondary roads to meet the columns from Osona, Bages, and Vallès on the C-17 highway near Granollers.
In Tarragona, about forty farmers left in cars around 8 a.m., while in Bages the tractors started their march around 9 a.m., joining the protest affecting several main routes across Catalonia.
“"Out of solidarity with mobility problems, we will avoid causing excessive disruption and guarantee that cars will be able to access the Catalan capital."
This wave of protests occurs at a delicate time for mobility in Catalonia, coinciding with the crisis of the Rodalies network. The farmers detailed that the entry into Barcelona will be via two main routes: one column will access through Meridiana and the other will use the Vallvidrera tunnels and the Via Augusta.
