The town of Flix will become the epicenter of Catalan pastry on July 12th and 13th with the celebration of GastroDolç 2026, an event that will feature renowned professionals from the sweet and baking sectors.

The new edition of GastroDolç promises to be a meeting point for artisans, bakers, and chefs who aim to highlight the importance of territory, emotion, and craftsmanship in the creation of sweet products.
The closing session of the event will be led by Jordi Roca, the acclaimed master pastry chef from El Celler de Can Roca. His talk, titled 'The Desserts of El Celler de Can Roca,' will offer insight into his creative process, transforming memories and emotions into edible experiences.
The lineup for GastroDolç 2026 includes distinguished figures such as Rafel Muria (Quatre Molins restaurant in Cornudella de Montsant), who will open the event with a honey-based breakfast. Also participating are Esther Real and Gerard Gil (Forn Gil in Barcelona), awarded for their Sant Joan Coca and King's Cake; the Sistaré family from Reus; Eduard Verdaguer (Panatics, Barcelona); and Roger Canela (PaPanBread, Lleida), Catalonia's Best Baker 2022.
Local and regional pastry will be represented by Pau Carranza (Pastisseria Larrosa), awarded for his Artisanal Butter Croissant; Àlex Lera, recognized for his brioche and pastries; and the young Flix-based pastry chef Llorenç Peral, Best Chocolate Coca de Sant Joan 2026.
The second day will feature Olivier Fernández (Gremi de Pastisseria de Barcelona) and Lluïsa Estrada (Escola de Pastisseria del Gremi de Barcelona), underscoring the guild's involvement in this event, the only one in Catalonia dedicated exclusively to pastry culture.
Other notable figures offering presentations include Oriol Balaguer, internationally recognized for his pursuit of excellence, and Jordi Roca himself, who will conclude the edition with a demonstration of El Celler de Can Roca's signature desserts.
GastroDolç 2026, held at the Municipal Market of Flix with free admission and live broadcast on YouTube, is consolidating itself as a tool for promoting the agri-food products of the Terres de l'Ebre and an international showcase for local talent.
